Typical workflow.

1. BioPortfolio will use its BioCorporate and BioEmail databases to identify relevant companies and individuals to target; this is done in a highly specific manner taking into account client's geographical constrictions, lists of companies to avoid etc.

2. BioPortfolio emails a brief description of the technology / opportunity to those individuals identified and asks those interested to reply. This can be done in an confidential manner, with BioPortfolio not revealing the client's name to those being approached.

"Fortune 500 pharmaceutical corporation seeks expressions of interest from academic groups or biotech start ups with relevant expertises for development of a rapid real time PCR assay for ........ If you or your company have experience in x, y, and z and would like further information on the possible opportunity then please reply to this email letting us know a, b and c. "

Those companies / groups identified as particularly suitable could, if the client desires be followed up by phone if they do not respond to the email.

3. If required BioPortfolio can perform an initial review of any responses identifying those which appear to be the most promising. BioPortfolio could identify the pros and cons of each option.

4. BioPortfolio supplies a report detailing;

• Companies active in the area of interest.

• Leading academics / academic groups in the area of interest.

• Details of any companies / academics responding to the email. (Positive and negative responses), annotated.
