Ultrafine is a contract research business dedicated to providing confidential, timely and high quality chemistry support. With over 400 man years of experience, our chemists, mostly PhD qualified, can rapidly address all your chemistry needs with a wide range of skills. In addition, the calibre of our work has enabled us to develop and maintain strong links to leading university departments, both in the UK and abroad, offering you access to new technologies and skills.

Following a major expansion of our facilities in 2001 (we now have almost 50 fume hoods), our range of chemistry services covers all areas of drug development from lead discovery and lead optimisation using medicinal and combinatorial chemistry, scale-up to grams and kilos of material using process research and development to cGMP production. This allows you to develop your research portfolio and move into clinical trials rapidly by relying on Ultrafine to project manage all your chemistry.



We also have longstanding expertise in biocatalysis, particularly using isolated enzymes. All our work is supported by our in-house analytical service, which includes NMR, LC, GC and LC-MS and quality is assured by our BSI EN 9001 registration.
