Visible Genetics Incorporated

Founded in 1993, VGI is a world leader in the emerging field of pharmacogenomics: the use of genetic information to individualize medicine. We develop, manufacture and market high-performance automated sequencing systems for the analysis of genes linked to disease, with the goal of improving the clinical management and quality of life of patients. Our primary focus is currently on viral diseases, such as HIV and hepatitis, but we are also researching other diseases, including cancer. VGI currently has over 300 employees worldwide with extensive experience in the areas of genetic research, virology, oncology, engineering, manufacturing, software development, bioinformatics, product development, sales and marketing, medical and regulatory affairs, clinical research and finance.



Corporate headquarters and software development are located in Toronto, Canada. Manufacturing, development and US headquarters are located in Suwanee, near Atlanta, GA, USA. European headquarters are located in High Wycombe, UK and Research is in Cambridge, UK. We also have offices in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Israel.
