Advanced Magnetics, Inc., develops, manufactures and markets organ-specific contrast agents to improve the diagnostic capabilities of soft tissue magnetic resonance imaging ("MRI") scans. Sales of the Company's liver contrast agent, FeridexI.V.(R), have commenced in Europe, Japan, the United States, Argentina, South Korea and Israel. The product is approved and awaiting market launch in China. Sales of the Company's oral contrast agent GastroMARK(R), used for marking of

the bowel in MRI procedures, have commenced in Europe and the United States.
