20/20 GeneSystems is dedicated to the identification, validation, and commercialization of novel protein biomarkers useful for detecting disease early and for guiding the selection and administration of therapy. 20/20 is addressing significant unmet needs for better diagnostics for cancer and autoimuune diseases (e.g. lupus). The utility of protein biomarkers for early detection of ovarian cancer and related diseases is starting to see widespread acceptance. Additionally there is increasing recognition by policy makers and homeland security officials of the importance of adding biomarker based diagnostics to our nation’s arsenal of countermeasures to nuclear, biological, and chemical terrorism, and we have several products in development to meet these needs.The company's mission is to pioneer personalized medicine with a proprietary technology, Layered Gene Scanning (LGS). This technology is completely novel and is the subject of numerous patent applications owned by 20/20 and/or exclusively licensed from the NIH. Our technology is being co-developed between 20/20 and a group of scientists at NIH and has been exclusively licensed to 20/20. 20/20 GeneSystems was founded in May of 2000.
