The Company’s products are intended to significantly improve upon the performance of heart valves presently in the market and to address the resultant complications of patients with congestive heart failure. At present, over 260,000 people annually undergo open-heart valve replacement surgery and, in the United States alone, approximately five million people suffer from Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).
