AcryMed’s scientists are experts in developing technologies and products that help heal wounds and fight infections. In 2005 AcryMed announced SilvaGard™, a silver nanoparticle antimicrobial surface treatment for medical devices. The FDA has approved indwelling medical devices using SilvaGard and AcryMed has also signed development agreements with other firms that expect to license this technology. AcryMed’s antimicrobial advanced wound dressings and wound gel are sold under the SilvaSorb® brand and are marketed under licensing agreements with major wound care companies around the world. AcryMed's silver antimicrobial technology has also been licensed for use in wound dressings and tissue repair products manufactured and marketed by other companies. Additional tissue repair and infection control technologies are in development including a topical oxygen dressing and a topical nail fungus dressings. AcryMed is based in Beaverton, Oregon where it maintains GMP manufacturing and GLP lab facilities. The company is ISO certified and operates under ISO 13485/2003 and EN 93/42/EEC
