AICOS Technologies AG
Download detailed PDF Members: After the announcement in March 1996 by the two large pharmaceutical companies, Ciba-Geigy AG and Sandoz AG, of their intention to merge and form a new company, Novartis, it soon became clear that parts of this company would be "outsourced". The so-called Novartis Venture Fund was created to help the creation of small high-tech companies in the process of the merger. AICOS Technologies AG is one of them, and its founders are former Ciba-Geigy collaborators with extensive and profound knowledge of the needs of industrial chemists, engineers, technicians and researchers in the applications of mathematical methods to solve industrial problems. AICOS Technologies AG was founded on January 7, 1997, and has a share capital of CHF 100.000.-, divided into 1000 shares of CHF 100.- each. Most of the share capital is held by Philippe Solot and Linus Willmann.
