AviGenics is a biotechnology company developing therapeutic proteins for oncology, infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases. By employing its proprietary technology, AviGenics has successfully produced six bioactive therapeutic proteins, including improved versions of three currently marketed products which compete in established markets with annual sales of $12 billion.
AviGenics’ proprietary technology produces therapeutic proteins with human-like glycosylation, leading to well tolerated products with increased half-life and enhanced clinical efficacy. Using this technology, the Company has demonstrated that it can achieve commercially feasible levels of production and purification for therapeutic proteins. In comparison with the traditional production methods, the Company’s technology offers rapid and efficient product development, a clear and well established regulatory process for product approval, and a substantial reduction in capital expenditures (up to 90%) and drug manufacturing costs (up to 75%).
