Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH

Official opening of the active ingredients plant in Ingelheim. More than 20 active ingredients with over 100 production steps will be produced in this new multi-purpose complex. The 49m-high plant, with 6 state-of-the-art synthesis bays and an additional laboratory and staff building, meets all international requirements. The unit, which will be operated on a multiple-shift basis, will provide up to 1,000 tonnes of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Advanced Intermediates every year.
