Download PDF Members: BioLauncher was founded in 2001 by Rowan Gardner and Dirk Gewert to work with growing life science technology businesses to help maximise their commercial aspirations. Over the last 3 years, BioLauncher has worked with a number of UK universities to develop technology commercialisation plans for novel intellectual property in a variety of diverse fields including biotherapeutics, drug delivery technology and nanotechnology. The business has also provided services to established life science businesses and regional development agencies acting both as a source of strategic advice and as an interim resource during periods of growth or change. During 2003, BioLauncher helped to organise the first PharmaGRID workshop, which brought together leading academics, IT providers and pharmaceutical informaticians to consider the opportunity afforded by GRID computing within the biopharmaceutical industry.
