Biolipox is a research-intensive pharmaceutical companyThe core of Biolipox's operations is world-leading research on arachidonic acid and its effects on inflammatory diseases - particularly asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), rhinitis, pain and arthritis. Arachidonic acid is an endogenous substance that through transformation to prostaglandins and leukotrienes regulates a number of inflammatory processes in the body. Biolipox's discovery of a new family - eoxins - formed from the transformation of arachidonic acid, marked the beginning of the company's research on an entirely new class of anti-inflammatory drugs
