BioWorld is the journal for applications in molecular biology and biotechnology in the German speaking part of Europe (with the main focus on Switzerland and southern Germany). As such, BioWorld aims to be the communication platform for all those involved and interested in this branch, mainly members of the university and other technical schools, CEOs and employees of private companies, members of government and politics, etc.

BioWorld publishes articles dealing with projects, products, services, scientific achievements, technological and economical developments, structures and their changements and other subjects with the focus on above-mentioned organizations. Moreover, the people and their personal opinion on different interdisciplinary themes around biotechnology are published.

BioWorld covers the whole area of the biotechnological research and application. Along with the core discipline of modern biotechnology like molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, immunology and biotechnological process engineering, subjects like Biomedicine are treated.s der Biomedizin.
