Raisio plc

Raisio is a specialist in plant-based nutrition and in ensuring food safety. It is a forerunner in functional foods: cholesterol-lowering Benecol products are sold in 20 countries.Raisio's business operations are arranged into four business centers: Food, Feed and Malt, Ingredients and Diagnostics division. Raisio employs some 1,400 people, about 70 per cent of them in Finland. It has production units in 12 locations in 6 countries. Head office is in the Raisio Town in southwest Finland. Raisio plc is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and has some 44,000 shareholders. The market capitalization is approximately EUR 360 million. The turnover in 2004 was about EUR 450 million.
