CardioDigital Ltd

Cardiodigital is a limited company formed in 2001 for the commercialisation and development of pioneering work in the use of time-frequency decomposition techniques in medical signal analysis. It was formed due, in no small part, to a SMART award from the Scottish Executive. In January 2003, the Wellcome Trust led an equity-based investment totalling around £1Million pounds. This has allowed the company to expand its portfolio and engage in dedicated research programmes concerned with the development of a number of proprietary technologies for medical device markets. These include the analysis of ventricular fibrillation, pulse oximetry signals, atrial fibrillation and remotely sensed neonatal heart sounds. The company moved to its current location, Elvingston Science Centre, near Edinburgh in Scotland during March 2003.
