The Center for Health Services Research at Georgia State University is administratively housed in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. The faculty of the Institute of Health Administration and collaborating faculty from the College and other University academic programs compromise the core researchers for the Center. They are engaged in scholarly inquiry to contribute to the body of knowledge on current health services and management. Current faculty research activities focus on health issues that improve the practice of health care, ensures quality health care delivery, and results in healthier communities.
Organizationally located within the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, the Center benefits from its geographical location in Atlanta and the Southeast. As a hub of economic and business activities, Atlanta offers employment in a variety of large health care consultant and entrepreneurial businesses, managed care organizations, academic health science centers, biotechnology and health information technology programs.
