The CIIT Centers for Health Research (CIIT) is a private, not-for-profit research organization created by farsighted chemical industry leaders in 1974. CIIT has been a leader for over 25 years in developing a better scientific understanding of how environmental chemicals can have an impact on human health.
Mission and Vision
CIIT's mission is to promote the use of the best possible science for human health risk assessments and to enhance public health through the conduct of leading-edge, interdisciplinary research that elucidates the mechanisms of action of chemicals on biological systems. CIIT's vision is to be recognized worldwide as a preeminent human health sciences research institute.
