CovX was founded in 2002 based on the research of Carlos Barbas, Ph.D. and Richard Lerner, M.D. at The Scripps Research Institute.Since its founding, CovX has made advances toward building a portfolio of product candidates. We use our proprietary technology to rapidly discover and develop long-acting biological therapies. The CovX technology unites the therapeutic attractiveness of peptides with the beneficial properties of antibodies, resulting in a new biopharmaceutical called a CovX-Body.The highly flexible nature of our technology enables us to identify high-value biological targets, efficiently create CovX-Bodies, and expeditiously move candidates to pre-clinical development and clinical evaluation. Our lead program is currently in preclinical development with an IND filing targeted for 2007.
