When Coastal Science Labs began to offer analytical services in 1979, our goal was to provide accurate and reliable stable isotope measurements with quick turnaround time to our clients. Continuing to achieve this goal remains our primary concern today. We have conscienciously kept to our stable isotope specialty in order to maintain the high quality of our services to our clients.
The stable isotope business has grown enormously as interest and understanding of it's applications increases. Today's technology is enabling us to make better measurements on smaller samples and opening exciting new possibilities that were inconceivable twenty years ago. At CSL, we work hard to keep up with this changing field. CSL was founded by, and is still run by geochemists who understand that only the best measurement is good enough for our clients.

All isotope measurements are made within our laboratory on our four VG (Micromass) isotope ratio mass spectrometers. We use sample preparation methods that are accepted by the isotope community as those which produce the most accurate results for a given sample type. We would be pleased to discuss any special requirements or preferences regarding your samples. Prices are given for the more frequently requested analyses. Recommended sample sizes include enough material to insure proper representation of the material of interest and to run replicate analyses. Much smaller samples can usually be run if quantities are limited
