Our FocusDiagnostic Hybrids, Inc. (DHI) is engaged in the development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative cell culture products for various applications in diagnostic virology and endocrine disease. Our products are changing the way people view, and use, cell culture to address a wide variety of issues because they result in faster and cost-effective diagnosis of important disease states. Identification of viruses, identifying autoimmune antibodies in Graves Disease patients, and screening for new antiviral compounds are a few examples of the breadth of diagnostic applications our products reach.
Our Goal:
DHI optimizes the value its products provide to its clients by providing a "systems approach" in product design and format. For example, the ELVISŪ technology represents a sophisticated genetic engineering technology but is provided in a simple to use but highly sensitive and specific product format for the rapid, 1-day detection of herpes infections. All the materials required to perform the test are FDA cleared and supplied by DHI for optimal product performance.
Our Expectations
Cell culture technology, when developed to its fullest potential, will provide tangible benefits across many diagnostic venues. Specific near-term advances include linking genetic regulatory sequences to reporter genes to make specific gene-inducible events easily detected and cloning of analyte-specific receptors on cells to enhance the binding of ligands or viruses to mixing cells together to achieve an enhanced "nearest-neighbor" effect. Certainly, the future for cell culture in diagnostic virology is indeed a bright one as we continue to Advance Virology Through the Cell.
Manufacturing
Dedicated FDA inspected, cGMP manufacturing facility; proprietary manufacturing technologies for gene probes, cell culture, and multi-well plate products; NRC-licensed radiolabeling facility for the manufacture and distribution of radioisotopic detection kits; Manufacturer of fluorescent antibody kits.
