DIVERSE has been designing optical and instrumentation systems since 1983. Based in Cambridge, England, our team has worked for many of the world's leading companies. In 1996 DIVERSE moved to larger offices and laboratories 5km south of the city of Cambridge.
The company's share holding is now privately held, after a successful buy back from the German company Polytec PI GmbH (trading as Lambda Photometrics Ltd in the UK). The group is a long established UK distributor of lasers, laser systems, fibre optics components and instrumentation for scientific, industrial, telecomms and medical applications. Apart from a small dividend, all profits are reinvested within the company. Diverse's revenues are around £300K per annum and those of Polytec are around $50M. We have a core team of engineering staff and a large number of associates used to bring a variety of skills to our designs. Diverse does not manufacture in house, but does control small and medium volume manufacture both for its own products and for its commercial partners.
