From this position she worked as a temporary consultant for Danida, the Danish Ministry of Health (Eastern Europe), the Nordic Council (the Baltic countries), The World Bank, WHO and USAID. During 1997-2000, Anita Alban was the Senior Economist in the Department of Policy, Strategy and Research in UNAIDS, Geneva
