ECR develops products on the basis of requirements relating to the physiology of nutrition with special attention to the activities taking place in cells during physical exertion. It is on this account that most ECR products differ in their basic make-up from the products of their competitors. Along with efficacy and tolerance, considerable thought and attention is devoted to the taste and aroma of their products as well.
ECR develops its products in Switzerland in consultation with a network of experts drawn from various disciplines (sports physiology, sports medicine, science of nutrition, galenical pharmacy, analytical procedures) who provide the company with a lot of crucial and useful innovative input.

In addition to its products, ECR also provides specialised services such as training for professionals (doctors, trainers, athletes), consultancy on questions relating to the science of nutrition and drawing up of diet charts for athletes. The core of their product development programme is their ability to incorporate information gleaned from scientific studies published all over the world on sports physiology and topics relating to sports nutrition and sports performance. This scientific work is continuously updated and will be published for the first time in the form of a book by the scientific publishing house, Verlag Karger AG, Basle from autumn 2002 onwards.

ECR has sports enthusiasts on its rolls working as its employees and consultants. Top, reigning sportspersons (Ultraman No. 2 in world rankings, Ironman qualifier for Hawaii), former CH champions (bodybuilding, tennis) and ardent hobby sportspersons (triathlon, cycling, tennis, football, inline, etc) give up-to-date input on the respective sport they are involved in, which is in turn is processed and translated into the latest products and services by the company.
