SAM TECHNOLOGY, Inc

SAM TECHNOLOGY, Inc. (SAM) is a privately held neurotechnology R&D lab located in downtown San Francisco. Founded in 1986 by Alan Gevins, an MIT engineer and internationally known neuroscientist, SAM may be unique in its tight interdisciplinary vertical integration of human cognitive neuroscience research and neurotechnology engineering and product development. As documented in 150+ peer-reviewed publications including 5 papers in Science and 17 US patents, SAM has strived to extend the state of the art across three generations of human neurophysiological and multimodal brain imaging systems. SAM grew out of the San Francisco Brain Research Institute (formerly EEG Systems Laboratory), a private human brain research lab founded by Gevins in 1980 and previously part of the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco. The two organizations work synergistically and together constitute one of the world's most advanced labs dedicated to measuring neurophysiological signals of human cognition.
