Gardenia

A unique tropical garden, Gardenia, was opened in April 2001. It is a limited joint stock company co-owned by the City of Helsinki and the University of Helsinki. The luxuriant garden, covered by glass, is a beautiful and refreshing place to visit all year round. Gardenia is situated in Viikki, in the geographical centre of Helsinki, approx. 10 km from the city centre. The tropical garden can be reached by buses number 57, 68, 79 and 550 or by car via Lahti motorway, Kehä I (ring road) or Itäväylä road.
