Gemvax AS

GemVax is a subsidiary of the Danish biotech company Pharmexa. The company is based on cancer vaccine technology developed over the last fourteen years at the Norwegian Radium Hospital in Oslo. GemVax develops products for use in immunotherapy of cancer.Peptide cancer vaccines is our most advanced technology. The lead product is GV1001, a vaccine against telomerase which is a tumor associated antigen present in the vast majority of all cancers. GV1001 are ready for clinical phase II/III development.Gemvax has also started to develop its novel technology for efficient RNA transfection which is useful for development of vaccines based on dendritic cells. Phase I clinical trials using the technology is ongoing.
