Gerot Pharmazeutika

1948 Gerot Pharmazeutika is founded by two chemists, Dr. Gergely and Dr. Otto.
1952 First patent granted on the newly developed product Epilan.

1965 Start of the production and sales of X-ray contrast media licensed from Bracco, Italy

1977 Start of the export activities in Eastern European countries. Later Gerot founds its own subsidiaries e.g.:

1991 Hungary

1992 Poland

1994 Czech Republic and Slovakia

1999 Romania

1992 Gerot becomes part of Donauchemie, which belongs to the Rhône-Poulenc S.A. group, and is in charge of marketing the products of Rhône-Poulenc Rorer in Austria.

1997 Again in private hands Gerot becomes an independent associate company of the Austrian pharmaceutical company Lannacher Heilmittel GmbH.
