La Petrolifera Italo Rumena SpA

La Petrolifera Italo Rumena SpA , (PIR), was founded in 1920 by a group of Italian and Rumanian partners (Rumania was at the time one of the major oil producing countries) and started operations at its Ravenna-Porto Corsini site. Few years later the Rumanians left the Company to Italian investors, but the name was left unchanged to this day. The activity consisted of import, storage and distribution of oil products, as well as cereals, sugar, bulk and/or packaged commodities.
