Download PDF Members: Jim Ransom founded Health Care Recruiting nearly 20 yrs ago to fill a need in the industry. That need was the personal touch in recruiting. Speaking with each client/clinic/hospital representative to fully understand the needs of their medical community and the scope of practice to be filled is important to Jim. Equally important is to personally speak with each physician who seeks our services, often meeting them in person, to identify professional and personal needs. Jim takes the time to hear the concerns and wishes of the entire family as well. Before establishing HCR, Jim owned and managed a retail business. He enjoyed the direct contact with employees and customers alike, and uses the same "hands on" approach today as he did then. Jim’s educational background was in industrial psychology and engineering, highlighted by college summers spent as a Smoke Jumper for the USFS. A little more circumspect these days, Jim is an avid fly fisherman in this spectacular Central Oregon country and an expert at tying flies. He also enjoys canoeing, biking, golfing, and cross-country skiing. Jim has also been known to brew a mean black butte porter!
