InBios International, Inc.

InBios International, Inc. is a medical diagnostic company that specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing medical diagnostic tests for the detection of infectious diseases. Since its inception in 1996, InBios has developed proprietary technologies useful in the development of rapid and ELISA based immunodiagnostic assays. It has also licensed antigens from major corporations and research organizations from which a number of its assays have been developed.At present, the company has two FDA cleared products: Kalazar Detect™ Rapid test for Visceral Leishmaniasis and West Nile Detect™ IgM Capture ELISA for the detection of the West Nile Virus. Products available for "export only" include ELISA tests for Japanese Encephalitis (JE Detect™), Tuberculosis (Active TB Detect™) and a rapid and ELISA test for T. cruzi infection (Chagas Disease). Products in the pipeline include a rapid test for Cutaneous Leishmaniasis and a Multiplex test for the detection of the presence of fever-causing organisms, namely Salmonella sp., flaviviruses, malaria, ricketssia sp and leptospirosis.
As an offshoot of its core business, the company also offers Analyte Specific Reagents and Controls as well as veterinary diagnostic assays. These include: West Nile Equine and Kalazar Detect™ for Canines. In addition, beginning the 3rd Quarter of 2006, InBios will be opening a Reference Laboratory. The opening of this laboratory will enable doctors, hospitals and others to send patient specimens to the lab for the testing of certain diseases in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
