INNOTHERA est un groupe indépendant, en pleine mutation, implanté en France, avec de fortes perspectives de développement international.
En 1989, le groupe INNOTHERA prend son premier virage stratégique en se recentrant sur la santé des femmes.
En 1999, le groupe INNOTHERA décide de se spécialiser sur la maladie veineuse et de devenir le leader dans le traitement des maladies veineuses.
La maladie veineuse est un véritable problème de santé publique. Grâce aux données issues de l’étude SU.VI.MAX et publiées en 1999, on sait maintenant que 14,6% des hommes et 33,6% des femmes sont touchés par la maladie veineuse chronique, en France. La prévalence des varices augmente avec l’âge et à partir de 55 ans, près de 30% des sujets féminins en sont porteurs. Les phlébotoniques et la contention sont deux des voies de traitement actuelles de cette maladie.
