The purpose of the Society is to provide an open public forum for policy makers and scientists promoting sound toxicologic and pharmacologic science as a basis for regulation affecting human safety and health, and the environment. - Adopted December 12, 2003.Objectives
In order to fulfill the Society's Mission Statement, three objectives must be met.The first is identifying and prioritizing scientific issues that would affect the development, modification, or application of regulations affecting human health and safety and the environment.The second is identifying and engaging the policy makers and scientists who would be most concernewith developing, modifying, or applying those regulations, or affected by their development, modification, or application.The third is providing an open public forum promoting the evaluation and application of sound toxicologic and pharmacologic science as a basis for developing new regulations or for modifying or applying existing regulations affecting human health and safety and the environment.
