Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic

The Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic has been an integral part of traditional health care in Central Florida for over 68 years. It was founded in 1936 by Dr Eugene L. Jewett who is known the world over as a pioneer in Orthopaedic care.As the group expanded and added more physicians, the pioneering spirit remained and flourished. Examples included Dr. Allen Lacey, who performed the first total knee replacement surgery in the State of Florida, Dr. Carl Croft who performed the first arthroscopic knee surgery in the Southeast United States, Dr. John McCutchen who has designed three separate total hip replacement systems and Dr. Hugh Morris who has made significant contributions into the design and development of several total hip, total knee, and shoulder replacement systems used worldwide. Being recognized as leaders, the Jewett Clinic has been selected to serve as team Physicians to the NBA's Orlando Magic, University of Central Florida, Rollins College, and the Orlando Predators.
