Download detailed PDF Members: The LSU System Research & Technology Foundation’s philosophy is simple: Take the most promising breakthroughs from Louisiana ’s university scientists – an assortment of researchers already known around the world for their accomplishments – and link them with business leaders who can sell their ideas in a global marketplace. The Foundation facilitates the transfer and commercialization of university intellectual property to the marketplace. It provides leadership, direction, and support to align university research endeavors with the current economic need to enhance the competitiveness of existing businesses, develop new enterprises, and create new jobs in Louisiana. The LSU System Research & Technology Foundation is also the parent entity of the Louisiana Emerging Technology Center - a 60,000 square foot business incubator on LSU’s Baton Rouge campus. The incubator is designed specifically for new companies with wet lab needs. The Louisiana Emerging Technologies Center lays the groundwork for companies involved in biotechnology, healthcare, environmental sciences, life sciences, agriculture and other technologies.
