Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center

Dr. Hruza is a clinical associate professor of dermatology and otolaryngology at St. Louis University and Director of the Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center in St. Louis, Missouri as well as Director of a Mohs Micrographic surgery fellowship program. He has been listed in St. Louis Magazine as one of the top doctors in the St. Louis area. He received his medical degree from New York University at the top of his class and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Societies. He completed his dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center in 1986 followed by a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a Mohs micrographic and dermatologic surgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Hruza is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Board of Laser Surgery. Before his current position he was an associate professor of dermatology, surgery and otolaryngology and director of dermatologic surgery training at Washington University in St. Louis for 11 years. Dr. Hruza serves on the editorial boards of the Archives of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, Journal Watch for Dermatology, Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery and LaserNew.net. He has served on the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons Board of Directors and on the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Board of Directors and currently serves on the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Board of Directors. He has contributed more than 100 publications to the medical literature and has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on lasers in dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer, cosmetic surgery and dermatologic surgery.
