LightForm was founded November 1996 by Jeremy Lerner to provide a means for the life scientist to convert spectral information into a spectral image. The goal was to enable those who want the opportunity to study actual spectra to be able to do so; and those that simply want to use spectroscopy to differentiate between different emitters in the field of view (FOV) to do so without having to become a spectroscopist.

Highlights
LightForm received three Phase I, SBIR grants through the National Institute of Health to develop techniques to generate the spectral topography of histopathology samples. LightForm has worked on the analysis of cervical tissue infected with HPV, Pap smears, organ transplants and spatially resolved spectra through a fiber-optic probe.
