Man Group plc

The Man Group has its origins over 200 years ago in a broking business founded by James Man and was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1994. Man Group plc trades on the London Stock Exchange (EMG.L) and is classified within the "Speciality and Other Finance" sub-sector of the FTSE and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
The sale of its agricultural products business was completed in March 2000 to a management buyout team. In September 2000 the Group changed its name from E D & F Man Group plc to Man Group plc.
Today, Man Group plc is a leading global provider of alternative investment products and solutions as well as one of the world's largest futures brokers. The Group employs over 4,000 people in 16 countries, with key centres in London, Pfäffikon (Switzerland), Chicago and New York.
