Metabolex is dedicated to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics that will transform the treatment of diabetes and related metabolic disorders. We have created the largest database of genes involved in the disease and have used the information to generate a pipeline of potentially ground-breaking diabetes treatments.Our lead drug candidate, metaglidasen, is a novel, oral insulin sensitizer designed to improve the treatment of type 2 diabetes by lowering blood glucose without the edema and weight gain of currently marketed products.
