MicroVention, Inc.

The Company was founded in April 1997 by Robert Rosenbluth and Brian Cox and incorporated as MicroVention, Inc. in September. MicroVention established the strategic objective of developing and marketing medical devices, which will enable or significantly improve the treatment of diseases in small vessels. Joining the team in December of 1997, Rob Greene brought key neurovascular device experience. After development of early concepts and prototypes of devices for the treatment of acute embolic stroke and embolization of cerebral aneurysms, the company narrowed its focus to aneurysm therapy. MicroVention maintains important stroke device technology and intellectual property and continues to monitor the acute stroke therapy market as a potential future product area.
