ChemGenes Corporation

ChemGenes holds a number of patents in the field of standard, modified, as well as backbone modified DNA/RNA synthesis products. Patents include e.g. 2'-O-Methyl phosphoramidite products (US patent #s 5,214,135 and 5,525,719). We also have approved patents for propargyl modified sugar nucleosides as well as phosphoramidites and there are also a number of pending patents. ChemGenes has a worldwide licensing agreement on US patents # 4,415,732 and 4,458,066, pioneering patents on the discovery of DNA and RNA synthesis by Caruthers and Beaucage. We have another worldwide licensing agreement on US patent # Re 34,069, the presently popular cyanoethyl (CED) phosphoramidite version for DNA and RNA synthesis.
