Its vision is to enhance human health and quality of life by major research innovation and discovery in biology, medicine, biotechnology and health services research. With scientific expertise in reproductive biology, prostate health, functional genomics, assisted reproduction, stem cells, inflammatory diseases, growth and development of babies, women’s health, and reproductive technologies for the agricultural industry, of the MIMR team works closely with clinicians throughout Monash Medical Centre and other facilities of Southern Health. Formerly known as the Monash Institute of Reproduction & Development, MIMR’s interdisciplinary approach now extends to collaborations in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gastroenterology, neurosciences and respiratory and sleep medicine, thus maximizing the potential of various innovative platform technologies.
