mtm laboratories is a certified developer and manufacturer of In-vitro Diagnostics for screening and diagnosis of cervical cancer with products marketed world-wide. The privately held company is headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany, with a subsidiary in Westborough (MA), USA.mtm’s products target the largest existing screening market in oncology. The biomarker-based diagnostic assays promise to be more cost-effective and to offer superior sensitivity and specificity compared to conventional screening methods for identifying cervical pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions. The first CINtec® In-vitro Diagnostics (IVDs) for application on cervical biopsies (CINtec® Histology) and cervical specimens such as smears and liquid based cytology samples (CINtec® Cytology) were launched in Europe, Japan and the US by a licensee.
