The Ohio Board of Pharmacy's prescription drug monitoring program has begun operation May 1. As prescribing databases are built, health care practitioners with a legitimate interest in the prescription drug history of their patients will be able to request this information from the system administrators.All dispensing by pharmacies of more than a 24-hours supply of controlled substances, plus tramadol and carisoprodol, must be reported to the drug monitoring program's database
