P.A.L.M. Microlaser Technologies GmbH is the world leader in non-contact microdissection and micromanipulation systems using the patented LMPC-technology (Laser Microdissection and Pressure Catapulting).P.A.L.M. has been able to create a platform for a key technology serving medical, biological and pharmaceutical research. This was only possible with the modular concept of the PALM MicroLaser Systems, tailor-made accessories and consumables and high quality scientific support by our Application Laboratory.
The company was founded in 1993 by Dr. Karin Schütze and her husband Raimund Schütze. From its location near Munich/ Germany the PALM MicroLaser Systems have been spread around the world and have gained a well-known reputation.
In 2001 Karin and Raimund Schütze were honored with the Philip Morris research award for the development of marketable micromanipulation systems.
Creative innovations combined with the potential of an international established organization resulted in the integration of P.A.L.M. into Carl Zeiss in December 2004. Since March 1st, 2006 P.A.L.M. is a 100% subsidiary of the Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH.
Also in the future P.A.L.M. Microlaser Technologies will stand for highest competence in Technology and Service in all fields of microdissection and micromanipulation
