AGY Therapeutics Incorporated

AGY is an emerging biopharmaceutical company, discovering and developing novel treatments for diseases of the nervous system. AGY scientists have established and utilized a unique mechanism-based approach to identify and characterize new molecules for disease intervention. The intricate molecular networks activated by stress, injury, infection, degeneration and toxins offer a unique basis for selecting drug candidates and drug targets for future treatments. We at AGY have built a knowledge base of the molecular reservoir of the intrinsic protective capacity, as well as the vulnerability of the nervous system. This new perspective of molecular networks allows us to devise new protective strategies against damage caused by stress, injury, infection and degeneration. In addition to therapeutics, AGY is identifying novel diagnostic tools based on the knowledge of the refined time sequence of molecular events underlying stroke, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, depression, and other neurological and psychiatric disorders.
