Phylogica

Phylogica is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of novel biopharmaceuticals directed at proteins and their interactions. Phylogica’s proprietary technologies are the result of close collaboration between the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research in Perth (www.ichr.uwa.edu.au), Western Australia and The Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia (www.fccc.edu), US. Both research centres are recognised for their excellence in medical research.

Phylogica’s technology is based on its collection of peptides (small parts of proteins), called Phylomer® peptides. These Phylomer® peptides are potential drugs, which can target and disrupt the interactions of proteins that cause a variety of diseases. Phylogica uses The Blocker Trap, its proprietary yeast-2-hybrid based tool to select the best Phylomer/s® from its collection to block the disease causing protein and create new therapies.
