PIramed Limited

PIramed was founded by Professor Michael Waterfield FRS (Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, London), Professor Peter Parker (Cancer Research UK) and Professor Paul Workman (Institute of Cancer Research, London). To date, the Company has received £10m in equity and convertible loans from JPMorgan Partners and Merlin Biosciences.Principal intellectual property licences are to PI 3-kinase p110a (from the Ludwig Institute of Cancer Research) and to small molecule inhibitors of PI 3-kinase superfamily members (from the Institutes and Astellas Pharma). The Company became operational in August 2003 and is based in state-of-the-art laboratory premises in Slough, Berkshire, UK.
