Established in 1972, Plandent Oy is a full-service dental supply company that provides dental practices and laboratories with equipment, instruments and materials, as well as installation and maintenance services. Except for equipment manufactured by Planmeca Oy, the Finnish parent company of the Planmeca Division, Plandent also offers a comprehensive selection of other high-quality products from other leading world-class manufacturers. With regional offices in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Kuopio and Oulu, and service shops in Hamina, Joensuu, Tampere and Vaasa, Plandent Oyj employs some 100 people.Plandent's product selection covers over 20,000 items, which requires qualified sales people and highly efficient material management. The modern Helsinki warehouse enables efficient operations, so that all orders are shipped quickly and accurately, and always within the promised delivery time. A modern warehouse system utilises paperless product picking with one collecting device and light-guidance. Lights show the picker the items and quantities to select.
Plandent's central warehouse in Helsinki assures the distribution to Finland, Sweden, St. Petersburg and the Baltic countries. Deliveries to Planmeca dealers are also handled in Helsinki. All purchasing operations are centralized in the headquarters. Centralized purchasing and warehouse operations ensure higher purchasing power and better cost-efficiency.
