Protein Therapeutics, Inc. was founded in 1997 to discover and develop new therapies for chronic diseases.The initial focus of the company is to develop an oral formulation of human immunoglobulin (IgPO) to treat adult and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, crippling diseases that affect more than 2.1 million people in the United States.Upon successful completion of this goal, Protein Therapeutics will explore other applications for immune replacement therapy, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and autoimmune hearing loss
