In 1997, John E. Ware, Jr., PhD, principal developer of the SF-36® Health Survey, founded QualityMetric Incorporated to translate years of patient-reported outcomes (PRO) research into practical applications that would support improvement in health care.
Almost 10 years, 7,500 peer-reviewed articles and 1,000 clinical studies later, privately-owned QualityMetric continues to advocate for incorporation of the patient's voice into almost every facet of health care.
